Dam Mantle is a producer we’ve closely watched over the past two years, his blend of downtrodden electronics yielding introspective, post-whatever concoctions that have continually caught our attention. Now, the man has doubled-up on releases for the month of October, dropping his excellent debut full-length, Brothers Fowl, and letting loose this split EP with the new-to-us trio Lover’s Rights. Although Mantle’s half of the EP is noticeably more to our taste, the pair of outfits do compliment each other rather nicely, making for a quite enjoyable and well-balanced four-track effort.
