Stream/Download: Anenon – Acquiesence

LA producer/instrumentalist and Non Projects label co-head Anenon dropped the unbelievable “Acquiesence” earlier this week in anticipation of his forthcoming EP of the same name. The new track is particularly lush and gentle, anchored by gorgeous, side-chained pads and hiss-laden piano samples, upon which Anenon layers raspy saxophone loops and runs. Then there’s the drums—crisp and clean in their presentation and intoxicating in their simplicity. It’s an expert track, and one that comes from the corner of the LA “beat scene” that seems keen to continue pushing the movement forward.
