Stream/Download: Charles Murdoch – Beside the Hip

The Melbourne-based producer Charles Murdoch is an artist we’ve been following closely ever since catching wind of his tender, intricate beats via the always-on-point folks at Life Aquatic. “Beside the Hip” is the latest piece of audio to find its way to his SoundCloud page, and with its slippery chords, tuned percussion melodies, and wide sonic layerings, it makes for one of the most impressive tunes we’ve heard from the man to date. Don’t know much more about Murdoch other than that he is capable of making some slick beats, and, for now, that’s about all we’re really interested in anyways.
