Stream/Download: Some Ember – Flowers Open

We dropped the ball a bit last week and lagged on the chance to offer up a free tune from one of our favorite Oakland soundsmiths Some Ember. After full-on loving the project’s Hotel of Lost Light casette released earlier this year, we were glad to see some new material surface, especially some that exists so coyly along the lines of gothy-dance-freak-out-synth-jam. “Flowers Open” displays Some Ember’s dark-wave sensibilities at their sharpest, but not without a touch of lush summer vibes to make it all the more worthwhile.
